Lesley J. Fernandez, 60, formerly of Northvale, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph E. and Joan E. (nee D’Allesandro) Fernandez. Loving sister of Joseph S. Fernandez and his wife, Crystal, cherished aunt of Jennifer, and the late Joseph G., and especially Mom to Diggity. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Lesley worked as a Special Education Teacher for the Bergen County Special Services program for 25 years, but her true profession was Professional Sunbather. Lesley’s favorite place in the entire world was Pennsylvania Avenue in Lavallette.
Visiting hours are Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 3-5 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lesley’s memory to Valley Program in Norwood, NJ.

Leslie was an earth angel. I had the privilege of working with Leslie at Bergen County Special Services. She was an excellent special education teacher and a great co-worker and full of life. She will be missed.

I had the privilege of working as an assistant to Leslie when I first came to the Rockleigh location of BCSS. She had a tremendous love for her students and I admired her dedication. All my love to her family
