Nicholas Ryan Soto was born August 19, 1995 in Toms River NJ, and passed away April 4, 2026. He was 30 years old.
Beloved Son of Stephan Soto and Kimberly Banse, he is survived by his brothers Clayton, Thaddaeus, and Joel and his sister Bethany. Nick is also survived by his Uncle John Soto and his Dog Lana , Jake the Snake, and Jiggers the cat, as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends.
Nick had a passion for Painting and sketching. He was also a musician who played Guitar, Bass, and keyboard. Nick loved music and live performances. He was big in the Punk scene in NYC for many years and was always up front where the action was.
Nick was dedicated to his family, always there for them. He was a caretaker in Texas in a nursing home for years and when he moved back to NY in 2019 to help his Uncle Take care of his grandmother , Anne Soto who passed at 102. Her quality of life was exceptional for her last few years due to Nick’s unselfish love and care for his grandmother.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 6:30 pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 120 Kings Hwy, Tappan, NY 10983.
He was such a good guy; a real sweetheart with an infectious smile. God is with him.
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Nick! Nick was my service advisor at Infiniti car dealership in Clifton a few times and the few times that I met with him were always positive. He had a warm smile and was friendly and patient and I am so sad !! My thoughts and prayers go out to his dad, Stephan, as well as his mom and siblings and all who knew him!
My Sweet Son. God Gave you to me and i shared 30 years with you , nurturing you, and loving you . I thank god for those 30 years . I wish God gave you more time on this earth, but it was his choice. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I can only imagine the pain and grief which as a parent you are going thru. Know the promise God gave us that one day you will be reunited with Nick. You and your family will be in my prayers.
To know you Nick, was to love you. I will never forget our conversations that we had day to day at work… appreciated you and Pops for taking me under your wings (literally). You’ll always be my gentle giant. I’ll take good care of Groot. I’ll miss you very much. Love you, brother. <3

Nick for the short time that I knew him, he was a fairly positive and upbeat person. Through his father, I got to know him. I’m sad to hear that now he’s no longer with us. Whatever the reason that God took you early, time will tell or maybe we’ll never know. May your soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
