Linda Rose Von Lumm (Scaglione), 73, of Orangeburg, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Born on October 31, 1952, Linda was a true New Yorker through and through. Raised in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, New York, her life was defined by the deep warmth, fierce loyalty, and easy laughter she shared with everyone around her.
It was in the city that Linda met her husband, Robert “Bubba” “Baba” Von Lumm. Together, they built a home full of love and raised their son Chris in Hell’s Kitchen. Linda’s devotion to her loved ones was matched only by her strong work ethic. She spent over two decades as a vibrant, reliable presence as a building coordinator at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where her dedication touched many lives over the years.
Above all else, Linda cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Her family and loved ones were her entire world, and her proudest moments were found in the quiet, everyday joy of spending time with those she loved and watching her family grow. A passionate sports fan, Linda’s heart always belonged to New York, and she could forever be found cheering on her beloved Giants, Rangers, and Mets. Linda had a huge heart and a profound love for dogs, to which she would readily give her time and attention.
Linda was reunited in rest with her husband; her parents, Leo and Susan; and her sister, Susan (Scaglione) Robleski.
Linda’s warmth, strength, and memory will be forever cherished by her son, Chris, and his wife, Amanda, her adored grandchildren, Jackson and Cody, who brought endless light to her life; her brothers and their wives, Joe and Brenda, Lenny and Dot, and Robert and Denise; her brother-in-law, Edmund “Eddie” Robleski; as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends, former colleagues, and very special lifelong friends, Eileen Lee and Gloria Hudson.
