Dolores Alfis (nee DeRienzo), 67, of Northvale, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015. Beloved wife of the late David. Devoted mother of David Jr. of NYC and Tracy Littlewood and her husband Thomas of Arlington, TN. Cherished grandmother of Thomas, Tyler, Todd and Troy. Dear sister of Lenny DeRienzo. Loving aunt of Alexis, Dustin and Sally. Also survived by her extended D’Ercole family as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
Dolores was a selfless, giving woman who dedicated many years to the residents of Northvale. She worked at the James F. McGuire Senior Center since 1991, first as an office worker and volunteer, becoming director in 2002. She also could be counted on to organize annual Christmas Tree Lightings, Easter Egg Hunts and other community events. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
