Rita E. Lonie (nee DeFedele), 83, of Northvale, passed away at home on Friday, February 19, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Colin. Cherished mother of Maria Masillo and her husband Richard of Oviedo, FL. Adored grandmother of Ricky and Chrissy. Dearest aunt of Joseph, Vincent, David and Paul. Also survived by her Godson, Louis Spinozzi. Pre deceased by her sister Frances Doherty and brothers, John DeFedele and Joseph DeFedele.
Rita retired from Snitow- Show Consultants in NYC where she was Vice President. She was an active member of the Northvale Golden Agers and McGuire Senior Center, which she was also on the Board of Trustees. Rita was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Northvale and was a Eucharistic Minister and worked Bingo for many years. Always the life of the party, Rita will be missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Sunday 3-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
