Joseph P. Diglio, 78, of Orangeburg, passed away at home on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Perna). Devoted father of Virginia Bonardi and her husband Richard of Blauvelt and Anthony Diglio and his wife Denise of West Nyack. Adored grandfather of Joseph, Alexandra and Anthony. Loving brother of the late Camille Marinaccio and Joanne Del Vecchio. Dear brother-in-law of Angela Natelli and her husband Vincent and Marianne Alvino.
Joe dedicated his life to his family and his country. He was a US Army Veteran. He faithfully served the City of New York on the NYPD for over 32 years. Upon retirement he was a Rockland County Sheriff for 15 years. He most enjoyed time at home with his family and working out at the gym. He will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 AM at St. Catherine’s RC Church, Blauvelt with interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet. Visiting hours are Monday 4-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ (201-767-3050).
