Mary Josephine Dowd (nee Murphy), 77, of Woodside, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Peter Dowd. Devoted mother of Caroline Mongelli and husband Vincent of Jim Thorpe, PA, Peter Dowd and wife Margaret of Pearl River, NY and Anne O’Brien and husband Kevin of Montvale. Adored grandmother of Jack, Nora, Roan, Niall, Declan and Maebh. Dearest sister of Rose Murphy and husband Jerry of Blauvelt, Anne Farrell and Michael Murphy, both of County Longford, Ireland.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11 AM at St. Catharine’s Church, Blauvelt with interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery.
