Fioravanti “Fonti” Piazza, 90, of Northvale, passed away at home on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Beloved husband of Pauline (nee Russo). Loving father and father-in-law of Robert and Monica of FL, Tim and Mary of GA, Paulette Scatassa and Joe of New City, NY, Ronald and Joyce of TN, Christopher and Cheryl of CA, Gerard and Tammy of CA and Daniel of MI. Cherished grandfather of 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Dearest brother of John and his wife Marie of Northvale.
Mr. Piazza was a WWII Air Force veteran. He was a devoted parishioner and choir member of St. Anthony’s RC Church and was a member of the Northvale Senior Center and the Golden Agers.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, Northvale (www.pizzifuneralhome.com).
