Carmine Picariello, 72, of Tappan, died at home on Friday, December 9, 2011. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Bevolo). Devoted father of Diane and her husband William of Orangeburg and Ronald and his wife Mary of Little Falls, NJ. Loving grandfather of Kristina, Kimberly, Ava, Olivia, Vincent, and James. Dearest brother of Andrew and his wife Lucy of Garnerville and the late Dottie Agosta of the Bronx. Also survived by his loving in-laws, Margie and Nicky Maccharulo and Carol and Matty Alongi and many loving nieces and nephews.
Before retiring Mr. Picariello was a materials supervisor for the Port Authority of NY. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan and a member of the Order Sons of Italy, Rockland Lodge 2176 in Blauvelt. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (845-359-2323) (pizzifuneralhome.com).
