Robert J. DeSocio

  Robert J. DeSocio, 77, a longtime Norwood resident, died on Friday, December 16, 2011.  Beloved husband of Ann (nee Morris) for 56 years.  Devoted father of Robert, Jr., and his wife, Laurie of Warren Township, NJ, Richard and his wife Melissa of Palmerton, PA, Michael of Knoxville, TN, and Jeanine and her husband John Dixson of Dallas, TX.  Dearest grandfather of Joseph, Matthew and Julia and Eli and Nika.  Dear brother of Dorothy and her husband Richard Davis, and the late Herbert.  Also survived by his nephew John Davis.   Mr. DeSocio was a printer for the Printer’s Union #6, NY, NY.  He served in the US Navy Reserve during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Norwood  Senior Citizens.  A funeral service will be on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050) with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
