Maria M. Flynn (nee Bauer), 84, of Norwood for over 50 years, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Andrew. Devoted mother of Janet Sokoly and her husband Wayne of Park Ridge and Paul Flynn and his wife Rita of Norwood. Adored grandmother of Christopher, Scott, Morgan, Katie and Andrew. She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Maria worked for Glenwood Labs in Tenafly for many years before retiring and becoming a caretaker. She was an avid gardner and will be remembered for all the baked goods she loved to make.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Norwood with interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, River Vale. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (pizzifuneralhome.com).
