John (Jack) M. Parvis, 82, of Middle Village, Queens, suddenly and peacefully passed away in his sleep on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Actors Fund Nursing Home in Englewood, NJ. Jack was the beloved father of John Parvis and wife Viktoria, Joseph Parvis and wife Patricia, Julie Connor and husband Matthew and Joan Pantina and husband William Casalino. Grandfather of nine grandchildren: Jillian SaSala, Danielle Parvis, Jessica Parvis, Amanda Parvis-Lanzo, Jimmy Pantina, Christopher Sanchez, Nicholas Parvis, Jena Pantina and Ryan Connor. He was also a great grandfather of six: Joshua, Austin, Christian, Cooper, Julianna and Liam.
John served in the US Navy. He was a retired elevator mechanic, with over 40 years of experience servicing elevators.
The family will receive friends on Sunday January 5, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Pizzi Funeral Home 120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ 07647
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday January 6, 2020, at the Our Lady Of Sacred Heart Church 120 Kings Hwy, Tappan, NY 10983
In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Jack’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000. Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142
