Joseph Gregory Fernandez, “Joe”, 23, of Old Tappan, NJ, was taken away from us suddenly on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Survived by his proud and loving parents, Joseph and Crystal Fernandez and sister Jennifer. Cherished grandson of Ruby Salerno (late Gregory) of Norwood, and Joseph E. Fernandez (late Joan). Beloved nephew of Jennifer Gilligan and husband Martin and Lesley Fernandez. Dear cousin of Brian and Bradley.
Joe was a graduate of Northern Valley Old Tappan High School and attended the University of Rhode Island before becoming an electrician and working for USIS in Pearl River, NY.
Joe was a funny, sincere, kind, and generous son, brother, and loyal friend. He especially loved time around a fire with family and friends. He will be terribly missed.
Those who feel comfortable are invited to pay their respects on Thursday from 4-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to Valley Program Foundation 200 Summit Street Norwood, NJ 07648.
