Carolyn Ann DeMarsico (nee Saltarelli), 80, of Rockland County for many years, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Douglas DeMarsico. Loving mother of Anthony and wife Christine, Catherine Ann DeMarsico, Lisa DeMarsico-Layne, George and wife Jennifer, Joseph and wife Gina and Doug and wife Kasia. Proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Louis Saltarelli and wife Frances and the late Donna Conley.
Carolyn’s greatest joy was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her passion was cooking, baking and being the devoted matriarch of her loving family. Her sense of humor, strength and huge heart made those who knew Carolyn, love being in her presence. She was the light in our hearts and will be deeply missed, but we are grateful that she is now at peace.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 4 – 7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carolyn’s name to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
I had the pleasure of knowing Carol for many years. Our boys played football at Clarkstown South. Carol would handle all of the tailgates. We would have to leave the game early to be sure the team would have the food waiting for them! She certainly lived for her children and I’m sure grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was truly a wonderful person. Rest In Peace, my friend. You will be missed.
Carolyn was a kind, loving mother and community member. She showed kindness to all and was an example of strength and compassion. Her children each reflect that and will carry on her legacy. Rest in peace, Carolyn! My deepest condolences to her family.
