Margaret “Meg” Verdigi (nee Domitrovits), 63, of Northvale, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Verdigi, Sr. Cherished mother of Melanie Anders and her husband Steven, Joseph Verdigi, Jr. and Michele Verdigi. Proud grandmother of Raelynn, Harper and Nathan. Loving sister of Donna-Marie Corey and her husband Kevin and the late William Domitrovits and John Domitrovits. Meg is also survived by many sisters and brothers in law, loving nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Meg was a lifelong resident of Northvale, known to many throughout the town. She loved to support her children at their sport games when they were young, as well as her nieces as they grew up. She enjoyed volunteering in the public schools as a lunch aide, always making whomever she worked with laugh and enjoy their time together. Meg was caring, compassionate, witty, and had a heart of gold. She also had a love of animals, especially racoons. Together with her husband Joe, spent tireless hours rehabilitating injured raccoons and even raised a few as babies. Often being referred to as “Mom” to more than just her own children, Meg was able to make whomever she met feel comfortable and like family. She was deeply loved and will forever be missed and remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Visiting hours are Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 4-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.
