Joseph Sabino Gravino, 37, of Orangeburg, NY, passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Katherine (Katie) Gravino and a devoted father to Anthony Joseph (8), Juliana (5), and Dominic (4 months) – his greatest joy and proudest legacy.
Joe was the beloved son of Elisa Gravino and a devoted brother to Diana Noto and her husband, Joseph. He was a proud godfather and uncle to their daughter Sienna, and a cherished son-in-law to Kristina and Richard Pullen. Joe was also a loving brother-in-law to Keli Joldzic and her husband, Mirko, and a dedicated uncle to their children – Mia, Isabella, Jackson, Charlotte, and Alexandra. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, and countless family members and friends whose lives were made immeasurably brighter by his presence.
Joe found joy in life’s simple pleasures – coaching Anthony’s baseball team, cheering for Juliana at dance recitals, listening to his favorite country songs, watching the Cowboys on Sundays, playing outside with his kids, enjoying a freshly ironed shirt, and celebrating every holiday to the fullest (especially Halloween!). He loved deeply, laughed often, and had a gift for making those around him feel safe, seen, and valued.
Joe served as a dedicated NYPD officer for 12 years, most recently with the Strategic Response Group, earning deep respect for his integrity and unwavering commitment to service.
Beyond the badge, he co-owned a successful general contracting business, Masterpiece Renovations, where he poured the same commitment and pride into every project as he did into his home and family.
Joe’s presence was powerful, but it was his heart that left the most significant impact. He lives on in his children, in the stories we share, and in the love he gave so freely.
Visitation will be held at St. Catharine of Alexandria Church, 523 Western Highway, Blauvelt, NY, on Thursday, May 29, and Friday, May 30, from 3–5pm and 6–8pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 31, at 9:30am, with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to support the future education of Joe’s children would mean the world.
