  3. Good ole Charlie! He’ll be missed dearly by the law enforcement community. We proudly wore the uniforms he prepared for us. He was always so happy to hear about promotions and knew before the officer did. I’ll miss our conversations and your wisdom. It’s rare to go to a uniform store and be outfitted by the same tailor who uniformed your father but that was Charlie. Until we meet again, RIP sir.

I loved Charlie! I knew him through my husband and the Closter Elks. Since I am very inept at sewing, he bailed me out by sewing my son’s Boy Scout badges onto his uniform and sashes. Always a kind word and genuine, warm hug. My deepest condolences to his family. He was a lovely man!

Charlie was a gem. Last of a dying breed, as the saying goes. I worked with him for almost 18 years and his priority was always Northvale and its residents. He was a great leader and taught me invaluable lessons that have made me a better person and lawyer. I extend my deepest heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends and the entire Northvale community. He will truly be missed.

  25. Charlie Yannetti hit the nail on the head while referring to – Charlie Amorosso – Mr. D & E Unifor ms. I have known both Charlie’s for years. Mr. D & E Charlie meant so much more to me then just a friend. Anything I asked of him, he offered the correct advice. Sometimes I would just go to the store to talk. Charlie was there in the back by the sewing machine, of course with a cigarette. He always contributed to our fire department for many occasions. He helped with our E.C.P.D. uniforms. Charlie surprised me with a retirement badge and wallet. He was truly honest and compassionate. He was always fair and loved by all. It would be very difficult to find another Charlie. I know he is now with his wife, Elaine, the love of his life. Rest in Peace, my friend.

  26. Bob Ginocchio

Dear Charlie, Maria, Debora and Lorelie,
I am sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Your parent’s house on Bradley Avenue will always have a special place in my heart — and in the hearts of many kids from our elementary school. I hope you find peace in the wonderful family memories you have.

  27. James Ippolito

Would pass him on my walks with my wife. Always kind, always had a smile on his face. We will miss you.

  28. It was always a “reunion experience” going to D&E. You would never know who you would meet and experiences we would share. Charlie knew everyone. He was an “artisan of the cloth” and a true gentleman. He will always be fondly remembered. Rest in Peace.

Charlie was true gentleman, who was funny, honest and hard working with a great attitude. It was a shear pleasure to go to his store to just have a chat. He was the “go to guy” for T.F. D. needs. Sincere condolences to the Amorosso family, friends and the communities of Northvale and Closter on his passing.
