Joseph Anthony Cerbasi,III, “BINGO”, 69, a life-long resident of Norwood, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 5, 2016. Beloved husband of Janice (nee Lippiello). Cherished father of Joseph IV and his wife Alaina and proud grandfather of Joseph Anthony V. Dearest brother of Philip and wife Joyce, Michael and partner Jennifer, Patricia Schwarz and husband Jack and Mary Cerbasi. Adored uncle of Brian Schwarz, Kate Cerbasi, Kim Schwarz, Jennifer Cerbasi, Audrie Cerbasi and David Duffy. Great-uncle of Amelia Plescia. Predeceased by parents Joseph Jr. and Audrey.

Bingo was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp. He served in the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart and numerous other medals.  Before retiring he was a heavy equipment operator for IUOE Local 825 Operating Engineers. Bingo was a life member and ex-chief of the Norwood Volunteer Fire Department, a charter member of the Nam Knights Motorcycle Club and belonged to the Norwood American Legion Post 272, the Marine Corp. League. and International Order of Redmen Half Moon Tribe 283, Northvale.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Friday 3-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).

Lizette Donnelly (nee Winington), 47, of Harrington Park, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.

Lizette Donnelly had beaten stage 4 Breast Cancer 14 years ago. Unfortunately, 2 years ago the Cancer resurfaced and she began the fight again. An amazing young loving wife and devoted mother of two, determined to be here for her family, she once again took on the pain and suffering of cancer treatment. After months of treatment, at age 47, medicine was no longer an option.

She was the beloved wife of James for 20 years this past August and have been together for 29 years. Devoted mother of Jimmy and Jade. Cherished daughter of Lou Winington and the late Luz, whom she is reunited with in heaven. Adored sister of Lisa Winington-Stover and husband James of Park Ridge and Louis Winington and wife Annmarie of CT. Dearest daughter-in-law of Helen Donnelly and sister-in-law of Frederick and Laura Donnelly and Joann and Michael D’Ercole. Lizette is also survived by five nieces and four nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

Anne Bittner (nee Kilgannon) of Orangeburg, and formerly of Pearl River, entered her eternal life on November 23. Anne was born in New York City to Thomas and Linda Kilgannon from County Sligo, Ireland, and was raised in the Bronx. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis, her son, Thomas, her brother, Patrick Kilgannon and his wife Katherine and brother-in-law, James Boyle. She is survived by her loving sister, Kathleen “Kate” Boyle of Sparkill, nephews, James and Robert Boyle, daughter-in-law, Bernadette Carty Bittner, as well as many other beloved cousins, relatives and friends.
Following her graduation from St. Luke’s parish school, Anne attended Walton High School. In 1963 Anne started working for Old London Foods in the Bronx. After 47 years of dedicated work, Anne retired from her position as an accounting manager with Old London in 2010.

Lucretia R. Berta (nee Fusco), 82, of Northvale, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. Beloved wife of Charles J. Berta. Loving mother of Janice Berta of Bloomingdale, Marie DiFalco and husband Joseph of Kinnelon, Charles J. Berta and wife Debra of Norwood and Peter Berta and husband William Bonos of New Haven, CT. Adored grandmother of Christina Waldstein and husband Eric, Charles Berta IV, Jacqueline Berta, Cara Ojeda and husband Eddie, Joseph DiFalco, Jr. and Alexis Ruger and husband Chris. Mary M. Brogan (nee McAneny), 91, of Paramus, formerly of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016.  Beloved wife for 67 years to the late Bernard.  Loving mother of Mary Ann McDonald and husband Gerry, Joan Cooper and husband Steve, Joseph and wife Ginny, John and wife Lenora, Terance and wife Beth, Elizabeth Scanlon and husband Robert, Michael and wife Debbie and Bernard and wife Fran.  Adored grandmother of sixteen and great-grandmother of eight, soon to be nine.

Mary devoted her life to her husband and children. She was previously employed at the Ridgefield Park High School and for the Village of Ridgefield Park for many years before retiring.

On Wednesday, November 23rd at 11:30 AM a graveside service will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.  Repast to follow at the Clinton Inn.

Garret S. Sytsma, 60, of Northvale, passed away Thursday, November, 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Nancy. Devoted father of Garret Thomas of West Point, NY and Kailyn of Northvale. Loving son of Sidney and his wife Vicky of Hawthorne. Cherished brother of Steven and wife Pam of Hawthorne, NJ, Julia Garcia and husband Ric of Hyattesville, MD and Robert of Hawthorne. Predeceased by his mother, Julia and brother, Thomas. Dearest brother-in-law of Patricia Barton and husband Albert of Washingtonville, NY, Mary Beth Daniels and husband Marc of Martha’s Vineyard, MA and Cynthia Cahn and husband Michael of Hopatcong. Garry was a truck driver for Wilenta Carting in Secaucus. He spent most of his time on a field or court, coaching his son and daughter in football, baseball and basketball. He continued to coach in the Northern Valley Eagles Football program and the St. Anthony’s Friars Basketball program for many years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Louise worked for Hewlett Packard in Paramus for many years. In retirement she and her husband enjoyed being a member of Forest Glen in Naples, FL. She was also a member of the Ramapo Ski Club for over 20 years.
