Jane Maria Piano, 48, beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away on Friday, August 12. Jane was born June 9, 1963 at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ, and spent her 48 years on earth touching the lives of everyone who met her. Pure in spirit and generous to a fault, Jane’s physical disabilities (cerebral palsy and Turner Syndrome) were always greatly overshadowed by her special gifts: her infectious joyous laughter, her angelic sweetness, her generosity of spirit, her clever sense of humor, and her unfailing ability to make everyone around her feel happy. Her capacity to give love was limitless—she was truly an angel on earth.
Jane is survived by her parents Anne and Anthony, her brother Mark, and her sister Claudia. Jane was one of the original residents of Spectrum For Living in Closter, where she lived since 1983. Jane also spent many happy weekends at her parent’s house in Airmont, NY. To accommodate all the people who knew and loved Jane, the family is holding a public memorial service at 6:30pm on Saturday, September 10, 2011 in St. Mary’s School Auditorium, 20 Legion Place in Closter. All are welcome, and food and beverages will be served.
Please make donations in Jane’s honor in lieu of flowers, etc. to the Jane Piano Memorial Fund, c/o CHARITYSMITH Nonprofit Foundation, P.O.
