James L. De Rosa

James L. De Rosa, 63, of Northvale, died on Monday, August 25, 2014. Beloved husband of Karin (nee Eicher). Devoted father of Steven DeRosa and his wife Vivian, and Kristine DeRosa. Pre-deceased by his loving parents Frank and Jessie De Rosa.  Also survived by his dear mother-in-law Inge Eicher, brother-in-law Karl Eicher, sister-in-law Lisa Tusveld and husband Jon and late sister-in-law Linda Leider. Other survivors include a niece and nephew and 3 cousins, Pati Cain, Linda Sanford, and James Wisner.  Mr. DeRosa was a chemical engineer for Burns and Roe in Oradell. He grew up in Bergenfield and went to Columbia University where he earned his bachelors and master of science degrees in chemical engineering. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and kindness. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday at 10:00 AM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050) with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park , Paramus. Robert La Rocca

Robert La Rocca,81, a Tappan resident since 1969, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Barbara who passed away 2 years ago, they had been married for over 50 years. Devoted father of Robert Joseph of NYC and Amy Elizabeth of Valley Cottage. Loving brother of the late Pasquale, Minnie, Rosie, and Margie. Also survived by loving nephews, nieces, and friends. Before retiring Mr. LaRocca was an executive VP for Carrafiello-Diehland and Associates in Irvington on Hudson, NY. He had spent many years in the advertising industry. William Porschen

PORSCHEN, William of Naples FL, formerly of Northvale, passed away Saturday, August 9th, 2014.
Beloved husband of the late Maureen. Loving father of Eric Porschen of Naples and Drew Porschen and his wife Susan of Northvale.
Dear brother of Lynn & David Fairbanks of FL, Douglas & Jean Porschen of CT and Lori Diez of Teaneck.

Marion C. Bello (nee Liburdi), 88, of Waretown, formerly of Bergenfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Marilyn Mizelle

Marilyn Mizelle, 74, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014.  Born to Percy and Ernestine Mizelle, she was one of seven children.  Marilyn was developmentally challenged.  She was a participant in Spectrum for Living and the Division of the Developmentally Disabled in her later years.

She is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Hruby of Fairfield and Carolyn Morro and husband Dan of Old Tappan as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends.

She will be remembered for her love of family, music and cameras, and will be missed by many who came to know her.

Frances Loiacono (nee Butts), 95, of Sparkill, formerly of Blauvelt, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014.  Beloved wife of Carmine.  Loving mother of Gordon and wife Elaine of Glendale, AZ, Nicholas and wife Susan of Tappan, and Anne of Phoenix, AZ.  Cherished grandmother of five and great-grandmother of one.  Dearest sister of the late John, Kitty and Betty.

Patrick Joseph Hurley

Patrick Joseph Hurley, 80, of Northvale, formerly of Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014.  Beloved husband of Olivine.  Devoted father of Jean Traudt and husband Matthew of Northvale, Patrick J. Hurley and wife Mary of Woodside, NY, Maria Hurley of Dumont and Gerard Hurley of Tivoli, NY.  Cherished grandfather of Kevin, Brian and Conor.  Dearest brother of Donal, Mary, Kathleen, Eileen, William, James and the late John.  Uncle of many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Ireland.

Mr. Hurley was a veteran of the Irish Naval Service and was active in a number of organizations in Ireland. He was a member of the County Cork Association of New York. He was a builder for many years.

Victoria Benasillo, 95, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.  Beloved wife of the late James.  Devoted mother of Pasquale Benasillo, Angela Salomoni, Mary Ann Benasillo and James Benasillo.  She is also survived by many loving grandchildren.

Lorraine Lyons (nee Lohse), 74, of Northvale, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014.  Beloved wife of the late John P. Lyons.  Loving mother of Kathy DeTemple and her husband Tiny of Newburgh, NY, Jay Lyons and his wife Cathy of Harrington Park and Michael Lyons and his wife Laura, also of Harrington Park.  Adored grandmother of Skye, Lexy, JT, Garrett, Kylie and Kayce.

Before retiring, Lorraine was a medical supplier for Fresenius Medical in Rockleigh.

The best mom ever, she is already deeply missed.

Loretta S. McKeever

Loretta S. McKeever (nee Amodeo), 69, of Northvale, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014.  Beloved wife of Jon K. McKeever.  Cherished mother of James and his wife Terri of Northvale, Tina Staropoli and her husband Paul of Northvale and Jon and his wife Lesley of Valley Cottage, NY.  Adored grandmother of Jessica, Jennifer, Kevin, Michael, Thomas, Maximilian and Greyson.  Dearest sister of Angela Giancaspro of New Port Ritchie, FL, Sylvia Marquart and her husband John of Northvale and Barbara Policastri and her husband Joseph of Northvale.

Loretta was an active parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale.  Before retiring she was a Preschool Teacher at ECCS n Norwood and Palisades Day School in Closter.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Loretta spent her retirement devoted to her precious grandchildren who were the light of her life.
