Charles L. Albanese, 97, born and resided in Northvale his entire life, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (nee Buonocore). Cherished father of Diane Duncan and husband Mitchell of Rockwood, ME, Michele Albanese of Northvale and Leonard Albanese and wife Grayce of Northvale. Adored grandfather of Leo Albanese and wife Meaghan of Littleton, CO and Charles Albanese of Northvale. Dearest brother of Grace Tirelli of Closter, Joseph of Northvale, Leonard of Closter and the late Antoinette Hallahan and Anthony. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Charles was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II serving with the 318th Fighter Group on Saipan and was a proud member of the American Legion for 62 years. He, along with his brothers, owned Albanese Brothers Contracting which they began in 1945 and operated for over fifty years. After retiring Charles worked at the Rockleigh Golf Course for 22 years as ranger and starter. He served his community in many ways over the years; as a member of the Northvale Planning Board and serving for a time as its chairman, as Northvale Building Inspector, as a dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church, as a member of the Lions Club International, founding member of the Northvale Rod and Gun Club and as life member of the Northvale Volunteer Fire Department.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).

Frank T. McElderry, 77, of Norwood, NJ, passed away at home on April 26th surrounded by his loving family. Frank was a generous, kind and loving family man with a great sense of humor. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren.
Cherished husband of 55 years to Lorraine (nee Marchese). Loving father to Frank E. McElderry of Boca Raton FL, Tom McElderry and his wife Corrine of Tappan, NY and Kerry Guerriero and her husband Neil of Harrington Park, NJ. Devoted “Paco” to his adoring grandchildren Caitlin, Bailey, Shannon, Thomas, Mary, Kevin and Kayla. Dear brother to James McElderry and his wife Maureen of Ramsey, NJ and Larry Brown and his wife Joanne of The Bronx, NY, loving brother in law to Marilyn Lutz of Whiting, NJ and dear uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Frank was born in Dumont, NJ in 1938 and then moved to The Bronx when he was a young child. He remained in the Bronx until he joined the Army and served his country in the Korean War. When he returned from Korea, he married his beloved wife Lorraine in 1961 and moved to Tappan, NY in 1965. With three young children and a full time job, Frank still found the time to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree from Manhattan College and his Master’s Degree from Pace University. He was a District Manager for Con Edison in Westchester County for 30 years. He lived in Tappan for 37 years before moving to Norwood. After retiring, Frank pursued numerous hobbies including car repair, home improvements, organizing anything he could get his hands on and watching his grandchildren participate in sports and dance recitals. He loved to drive to Florida and spend time in the warm weather.

Janet Eleanor Fellowes (nee Sendall), 83, of Teaneck, passed away at Villa Marie Claire surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was the devoted mother of Pamela Fellowes of Ridgefield, Linda Jean Jenkins and her husband Carl of Nahant, MA and Colleen Eleanor Fellowes and her husband Edmond Frankel of Harrington Park. Richard Rene Riendeau, 79, of Northvale, passed away at home on April 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was a kind, warm, humble, sensitive, family loving man with a positive attitude and a sense of humor. He will always be remembered for his wisdom, and gentle, sweet soul.
Cherished husband of 47 years to Rosetta (nee Zambri), loving Dad to Shelly Masterson and her husband Larry, devoted Pop-Pop to Michael and Kayla of Old Tappan. Dear brother to Roger Riendeau, David Riendeau, Elaine Wdowiak and her husband Ronnie of Ware, MA. Richard graduated from Amherst College, Harvard University and Bowden College. He was a Mathematics teacher and supervisor for 35 years at Northern Valley Regional High School. He had a passion for learning and attended many summer institutes. After retiring, Richard pursued numerous hobbies including Art and History. He enjoyed traveling the world with his family.

Prior to that he was a police officer in Jersey City and was a private investigator and a talent manager for many years. Lester was an active supporter of the Police Athletic League.
