Susan D. Fazio

Susan D. Fazio (nee Buonocore), 72, of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Fazio. Loving and devoted mother of three sons, Michael and his wife Denise, Jeffrey and his wife Nicole and the late Joseph D. Proud and adored grandmother of Olivia, Joseph, Eve, Mara and Iyla. Dearest sister of Linda Newton and husband James and Frank Buonocore.

Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her life was her family, and they will never be the same without her loving presence.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ (201-767-3050). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.

John and Josephine Carollo

John Carollo and Josephine Carollo (nee Cordaro) passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 and Friday, July 29, 2022, respectively. They are the beloved parents of Tina and her husband Nick Manganiello and Santo and his wife Pauline. Proud grandparents of Nicholas and Daniella. Josephine is also survived by her sister, Gina Somma and her nephew, Nicasio.  

Before retiring, John worked for General Motors in Tarrytown, NY and Josephine worked for Chase Bank in NYC.

Visiting hours are Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 1-5 PM at PizziFuneral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ (201-767-3050). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan, NY with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY.

Robert C. Carney

Robert C. Carney, 46, of Northvale, NJ, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 1, 2022. Beloved son of Laurie and the late Richard Carney. Proud father of Richard “RJ”, Aidan and Gavin. Dearest brother of Thomas and wife Roxana, Laura Heyn and husband Derek, and Curtis and wife Cassandra. Loving uncle of Joseph, Evan, Hannah, Travis, Seth, Matthew, Kayla and Gabriella. He is also survived by his ex-wife Kellyann, his ever-loving and always supportive friends Stu Pfister and Greg Marvin, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other cherished friends.

Rob was a selfless and loving man. He was a member of the Northvale Fire Department. He was an operating engineer for Local 30. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed the the simple act of nature moving all around him. Rob would frequently take his sons’ out on hikes and walks. He loved to work with his hands and make things for the people he loved when he didn’t have the words to express it. He enjoyed quilting and making quilts for others. He was also a fan of both the Warhammer 40K tabletop game as well as an avid Pittsburgh Penguins Fan.

Visiting hours are Friday, August 5, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for the benefit of Rob’s children’s education, in care of the Valley Relief Fund, PO Box 83, Northvale, NJ 07647-0083 (a 501c3 organization).

Maria Angelica Rubio

Maria Angelica Rubio passed away in her sleep at Holy Name Hospital on Thursday the 28 of July, 2022. She leaves behind her siblings Edwardo Arancibia , Ricardo Arancibia, and Ximena  Garcia. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews that will fondly remember her. 

Maria Angelica was born in Santiago Chile in 1936 to her parents Edwardo and Felicia Victoria Arancibia. She met  and  married the love of her life Rufino Rubio in 1966. They both came to the United States in 1971 to have a better life. She worked many years in Levolor Blinds as a manager until her retirement, then she moved from Jersey City NJ to reading PA with her husband to live their golden years. 

Her husband passed away but Maria kept herself busy continuing to work. She was a strong and independent person. She was a huge animal lover always helping cats and a dog by her side. She loved talking to everyone that would walk across her house porch. With declining health she moved closer to family in New Jersey 2020 leaving her beloved younger brother Ricardo in Reading. 

Family and friends will host a private service to remember and celebrate her full life.
