Michele M. Scott (nee Ferrara), 78, of Dumont, NJ, formerly of Northvale, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026,leaving a family forever shaped by her strength and affection. She was the beloved wife of the late Tom and the proud mother of Ryan, Brendan, Mike, and Matt. She was a loving mother-in-law to Claire and Kirsten, and shared a special bond with Michael’s partner, Stephanie. Her greatest joy remained her four grandchildren—Emma, Thomas, Desmond, and Sebastian—who carry her spirit forward. She was also a caring sister of Eileen Doheny.
For years, Michele served her community as a middle school teacher, bringing the same patience, spirit, and energy to her students that she poured into her role as the heart of her home.
Whether she was making the holidays bright with her wonderful cooking or composing soulful poems for family cards, Michele’s focus was always on others. She lived a life of profound selflessness, consistently prioritizing her family’s happiness over her own comforts. Michele will be deeply missed and remembered for her unwavering strength, her dedication to those she held dear, and the quiet courage that defined her life.
Visiting hours are Monday, March 30, 2026 from 4-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 10 AM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
