Amelia was born in the Philippines, where she met her husband Roberto at Far Eastern University Hospital and they had four daughters. She was a strong woman who came to the United States alone, knowing no one, driven by her determination to support her family. She worked as a nurse in New York City, building a foundation for their future. Soon after, her husband joined her, and together they were able to settle into their new life and eventually bring their daughters to join them. They finally moved to the suburbs and settled in Orangeburg, NY. As a nurse, she worked tirelessly to provide for her family, most notably at the Metropolitan Hospital and Doctor’s Hospital in Manhattan, NY. Amelia believed she truly lived the “American Dream”. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family, cooking meals and gardening in her yard.
