Barbara Ann Walther (nee Hatem), 84, of Norwood, NJ passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. Beloved wife of Paul A. Walther. Loving stepmother to Paul T. Walther and his wife Christa, and Patricia Lukas and her husband Todd. Proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Before moving to Norwood, Barbara lived in Clifton having grown up in Paterson surrounded by a large and loving extended family. Barbara is predeceased by her parents Paul and Madeline Hatem, and brother Paul Hatem.
Family and friends will celebrate Barbara’s life on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 3-6 pm at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., Northvale, NJ. (201-767-3050).

Barbara and I became friends many years ago at the Red Maple in Closter. Then as the years went by we became better and closer friends. She was always dressed so beautiful and looked wonderful. AS time went by we became closer friends and then I even got to know Paul better. She always talked about the dinners her Mom made every Sunday and how much her Mom loved Paul and told Barbara “take care of those kids.” She was a wonderful person great friend and will always be in my heart. RIP my friend.
