Vincent N. Scuro, 89, of Haworth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of 65 years to Barbara (née Gobbo). Loving father of Steven Scuro and his husband, John Claypoole, and David Scuro and his wife, Laura. Cherished grandfather of Katelyn, Jack, Ryan, and Daniel. Dear brother of the late Joseph, Daniel, and Marie.
Vincent was a proud graduate of St. Peter’s College in Jersey City. He and Barbara built a beautiful life together, raising their family in Bergenfield, where Vince became deeply involved in the community he loved. A dedicated member of UNICO, he also spent many years coaching youth baseball, most notably in the Connie Mack League. Through his generosity and commitment to others, Vince made a lasting difference in the lives of many.
Vincent dedicated 30 years of distinguished service as Deputy District Director with the Small Business Administration in Newark. After retiring, he spent more than 20 years serving in the Radiology Department at Englewood Hospital, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping others.
Above all else, Vincent was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy was being present for those he loved. Whether it was a sporting event, school activity, graduation, or family celebration, he never missed an opportunity to support his grandchildren. His kindness, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visiting hours are Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 5-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church in Haworth, NJ, with entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ.
