George, you were an exceptional man.
I came into Melissa and Karen’s lives 11 years ago, only a small footnote compared to the many years they were blessed to share with you. Even before I met you, your name was always spoken with the highest respect.
Then I had the privilege of meeting you, and you welcomed me into your life as if I had always been there.
There were endless dinners, countless laughs, and so many memories. But what I will remember most was how genuinely you cared about my family. You never failed to ask about my father, to see how he was doing, and to send him your regards. I always passed them along, and I will always love you for that.
My father once told me, “Listen to George. He’s one of us.” Coming from him, those words meant everything.
Most importantly, you were there for Melissa and me through some of the most important moments of our lives. I know you will be there in spirit for the birth of our children, and I know they will grow up hearing about the incredible man you were.
You will never be forgotten. And when I miss you, I’ll simply think of you and be grateful for every memory.
Ti voglio bene
Rest easy Uncle George. You will be missed by us all. My mother loves you so much. Her big brother.
