James P. Moran, 80, of Palisades, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Beloved husband of Ellen (nee McNeil). Devoted father of Suzanne Lindquist and her husband Richard of NYC, James P. Moran, Jr. of Garden City, NY and Melissa Moran of NYC. Cherished grandfather of J.P., Stephen and Abigail. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of the late Maureen and George Colleran.
James was a US Army veteran. He proudly served in the NYPD for 15 years before beginning a career in various hospitals in the metropolitan area. He retired from Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ as Chief Information Officer. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, James loved his family and spending time with them and his friends, as well as a round of golf. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan, NY, with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ 201-767-3050.
