Rosemarie Salvatore (nee Aria), 86, of Norwood, formerly of Tenafly, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Devoted mother of Francis Paul Salvatore, Jr. and wife Stella of Brick, Joseph Michael Salvatore and wife Diane of Tempe, AZ, Suzanne Neville and husband David of Tarboro, NC, Rosemarie Smith of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY and Michael Aria Salvatore of Norwood. Cherished grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of Roberta Sorvino and husband William of Jersey City. Rosemarie was predeceased by her son, Paul Jerry Salvatore, daughter, Nancy Salvatore-Talian, brothers, Dr. Michael Aria and Joseph Aria and son-in-laws, Richard Smith and Stephen Talian.
Rosemarie worked for the American Seafood Company in Englewood Cliffs for 26 years. Prior to that she worked at Dynamite Nobel in Rockleigh for many years. She cherished her family and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and playing Bingo.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Norwood with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visiting hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
