Mary D. Macchia, 96, of Midland Park, formerly of Little Ferry and Jersey City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Beloved wife of the late George A. Macchia. Loving mother of Domenick and wife Sandra of Hasbrouck Heights, George M. and wife Joni of Wyckoff and the late Andrew and wife Barbara. Adored grandmother of Mark and wife Kim, Denise and husband Joe, Danielle, David, Kristin, Kevin and Carol and great-grandmother of Max, Karina, Jackson, Sarah, Nicholas, Stevyns and the beloved family pets. Dearest sister of the late James and Dominic.
Mary will always be remembered as being a loving and caring mother who lived for her family. She was selfless and a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Margaret’s in Little Ferry and Our Lady of Victories in Jersey City.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 11 AM at St. Margaret’s RC Church, Little Ferry with interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Visiting hours are 4-7 PM on Monday at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff.
