Michael Sharon, 98, of Norwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Beloved husband of Olga (nee Barchewski) for 72 years. Devoted father of Andrea Sharon of Santa Fe, NM, Patricia Gallucci of Hewitt, NJ and the late Micaela Fitch. Adored grandfather of Christine Bradshaw, Janel Gallucci and Michelle Gallucci. Dearest father-in-law of Gary Gallucci and Frank Fitch. Predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Michael was a US Army machine gun operator during of WWII and had been a member of the Northvale VFW and Norwood American Legion. An avid gardener, he belonged to the Harrington Park Garden Club. He was a mechanical engineer for Stanson Chemical Co. in Bogota for 60 years before retiring.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Friday 4-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
