Robert J. Naperschat, 76, of Point Pleasant, formerly of Rockleigh, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Maureen Naperschat (nee: Barba). Loving father of Theresa Butler and husband Thomas of Rockleigh, Lisa Sorrentino and husband Anthony of Englewood Cliffs and Brendan Naperschat of Tomskins Cove, NY. Adored grandfather of Anthony, Christopher, Michael, Katie and Thomas. Brother of Viola Thiessen.
Robert was an US Army veteran and an entrepreneur.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201.767.3050).

I wish I could have met you Grandpa, I just found out today that that’s who you even are to me. I wished I would have asked questions sooner, I wished I was able to have met you. So much about my life is shrouded in the sins of my parents as well as myself, and as I try to piece everything back together from my childhood I am finding more family than I ever knew that I even had. I pray your loved ones left behind are supported by God’s grace and mercy and that you are resting easy in heaven. I know we never met,and you probably never even knew of me but it is amazing to finally put a face to my biological grandfather that I’ve never knew or met. I am Kurt Naperschat’s daughter. Nancy Rapp was my grandmother, I just wish I would have asked question sooner, but at least now I know what you look like and what your name was. God bless you and your loved ones left behind. ❤️
