Catherine MacKenzie (nee Cervoni), 87, of Tappan and Stuart, FL, passed away at home on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Beloved wife of Donald F. MacKenzie for 67 years. Cherished mother of Donald Jr. and wife Lorrie of New City, John and wife Lorraine of Blauvelt, Debra Monaco and husband Lloyd of W. Nyack, Joyce MacKenzie of Seneca, SC, Karen Bell and husband Peter of Tappan and Kathleen Jo and husband John Maloney of Orangeburg. Adored grandmother of 19 and great-grandmother of 9. Dearest sister of the late Joseph, Dr. Dominic and Fr. Stephen Cervoni. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Joseph and Mandalena (née Rakela) Cervoni.
Catherine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and nannie and her family was her life. Besides providing a loving home to her family, she enjoyed her part-time job at Sears in Nanuet where she worked for many years. In Stuart, FL she was a member of the Columbiettes.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne. Visiting hours are Monday 3-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
