Frank R. Marini

Frank R. Marini, 96, of Norwood, formerly of Fairview, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Battaglia). Proud father of James and wife Jacquelyn of Northvale and Robert and wife Barbara of Sloatsburg, NY. Cherished grandfather of Steven, Sarah and Joseph. Dearest brother of John and the late Artie, Dorfie and Benny.

Frank was a US Army combat veteran of WWII in the European Theater. He was a machinist for Groov-Pin in Ridgefield. Upon retirement he was a school crossing guard for many years in Norwood. He belonged to the Fairview VFW Post 337 and the Norwood Senior Center.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Norwood. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8 PM (wake service at 6 PM) at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Adult Care Home, 125 Sister Servants Lane, Sloatsburg, NY 10974 would be greatly appreciated.


  1. My name is Tony Long. I worked at Groov-Pin from 1976 through 1991 and knew your father Frank and your Uncle Benny fairly well. Please accept my condolences on Frank’s passing. Coincidentally, Robert and Barbara, I grew up in Sloatsburg and still have relatives living there. Again, please accept my deepest sympathy.
