James J. Nachstein, 92, of Pearl River, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn. Loving father of James G. Nachstein and wife Marie of Nanuet, NY, Annamarie Nachstein of Hopewell Junction, NY and Andrea Collins and husband Stephen of Stony Point, NY. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Carlsen and husband David and Kristen Kruithof and husband Brian. Proud great-grandfather of Elizabeth, Andrew, Brenna, Jocelyn and Ellie. Dear brother of George, Robert, and Joseph.
Jim was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He served for the Port Authority Police Department of NY/NJ achieving the rank of Chief Inspector
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov 2, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Nanuet, NY with Interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ (201-767-3050).
