Concetta Barbara Jovino

Concetta Barbara Jovino (nee Ambrosino), affectionately known as Connie and Tootsie, 87, of Blauvelt, NY, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Sal (Dean Anthony) Jovino. Cherished mother of Louise Jovino and proud grandmother of Deanna and Teresa. In addition to her daughter and granddaughters she is survived by her sister-in-law Mary, nephews, Sal (Maura), Joseph (Steve), and Anthony (Maureen); nieces, Rosemarie (Lee) and Julie (Charlie), as well as many grand nieces and nephews, cousins, cherished friends and of course her dog, Benji.

Connie was a member of the Romanesque Lodge #2198, Blauvelt as well as the Catholic Daughters.  She was a phenomenal cook. She loved to entertain and make every on feel like family.

She was fortunate to have traveled the world learning about different customs and cultures but her favorite destination was Guatemala where she visited her now grandchildren.  They were truly her greatest joy.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale, NJ with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Concetta’s memory may be made to MSKCC, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or any other organization that promotes medical research, inclusion, diversity and kindness or helps humans or animals.
