  1. “Bobby” was my second cousin. His brother “Buddy” and their mother lived in an apartment adjacent to my Grandmother’s apartment on Post Ave. I have very fond memories of my two older cousins from my childhood. I recall both of them having great Irish sense of humors. I have not seen Bobby in decades (unfortunately), but I was able to follow him through other family members that were still in the NY area. RIP Bobby, I’m sure you will be missed by many!

  2. Erin,

If there were an award for best neighbor, your father would win it every year. He was kind, generous, and selfless. Serving the neighborhood and the community must have been in his genes. Over the years when it snowed, we would see him out there with his snow blower cleaning all of our driveways, including Mike’s, Mariano’s, mine, and those of others on the block. He was also Yena’s prompt and reliable pen pal when she was in grade school. We owe him a large debt of gratitude. I will especially miss having afternoon beers with him on your deck sharing life stories from years gone by. He left a large void in all of our hearts. I will miss my friend and neighbor.

    Best wishes,
    Duke Shin and Family
