I first met Ms. Sorensen 30 years ago, when she filled in for Dr. Marshall in my 6th grade class at South Orangetown Middle School in Blauvelt, NY. I found her to be a wonderful teacher, and I learned a lot from her, especially how to write clear and concise essays. Her techniques adequately prepared me for high school and college. I enjoyed having her as a teacher, and also enjoyed reading about her work in the community, especially at Bethel Woods, and Rock The Point, inspiring a new generation of students to follow their dreams. My condolences to the family, she will be missed.
