Carmen Albanese

Carmen Albanese, 95, of Northvale, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. She was born into the Sorriento family to Richard and Frances in Piermont, NY. Beloved wife of 74 years to the late Vincent J Albanese. Loving mother of Ronald and wife Lily of Westwood, Kenneth and wife Christine of Lords Valley, PA, Robert of Northvale and Peggy of Northvale. Proud grandmother of Nicholas, Julie, Allison, Vincent, Andrew, Peter, Natalie and Amanda and great-grandmother of nine. Dearest sister of Vera Tyndall.

Carmen worked a various pharmacies for many years. After retiring she enjoyed being a Nanny to many of the neighborhood girls. She was a member of the Piermont VFW, loved reading and crossword puzzles and cherished holidays and family gatherings.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).

  1. Aunt Carm was so much more to me than Mom’s loving sister. She was also my confidant, my advocate, my friend, and my other Mother. Although my world is now smaller without her, there’s a comfort in the lifetime of happy memories she created and her radiant smile will warm my heart always.

    Even though you are in heaven now, I know that you are with us all right now. You are smiling as you always did with your beautiful and proud smile, even when times were difficult and a little hard to deal with. Your laugh, smile and radiant personality will live in our hearts and soul forever. Your were our rock and button that always held things together. You are now reunited with dad, your sister (Aunt Vera), Uncle John, along with countless other family members that passsed before you and dad. You are now with GOD in heaven and the night sky is so much brighter,with you and dad being the brighter stars,shining on us all.
    Your’s and dads unwavering love and devotion to Ron, Ken, myslf and Peg was endless. You are blessed with 8 beautiful grandchildren and 9 precoius great-grandchildren,who you love and love you so dearly. Your selfless devotion to us all and everyone made you a special mom, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to us all. Always concerned and caring how anyone was feeling, but never complaining about your own aches and pains. Your positive attitude and compassion will live in our hearts forever. Cooking and baking was your pleasure and nobody had your special touch and love included into your recipes. Family gatherings, holidays and visits from family or friends, was a joy and pleasure that you cherished.Even though you are now at peace and resting, we are all conforted that you are watching and smiling down at us all and will always live on in our hearts, thoughts
    memories and prayers. Your love for everyone will always be with us. You will be missed by all, Mom.Thank you for giving me the pleasure of having you as my mom along with Ron, Ken and Peg.

        My mom will be missed by all that knew her. She is back with my dad in heaven, along with countless other family members that passed before them. Your mom and dad, grandparents, uncles, cousins and anyone that carried the proud Albanese name. The long standing and proud family name will live on in Northvale forever. Even though we live so far away from each other, my thoughts and prayers have always been with each and every family member. I saw Micky and Kathy at both my parents wakes. I fondly remember you and all of our cousins during High School and beyond. Thank you for your condolences and prayers.
