Robert T. Crable, 74, a lifelong resident of Sparkill, passed away on Thursday May 16, 2013. Bob always said that the three most important things in his life were
his faith, his sister Mary, and the Democratic Party. He worked for St. Dominic’s prior to becoming Rockland County Deputy Clerk. Bob was a true blue principled democrat with deep convictions. His life was spent serving, especially to the most needy among us. Bob was a Rockland County Legislator, having served as a committee person from age 18 and served several terms as the Orangetown
Democratic Chairman. He was currently the State Chairman.
He is survived by his loving sister, Mary O’Sullivan of Pearl River, sister-in-law, Annamae Crable of Sparkill, and many caring friends, especially Tom Zimmerman and Pauline Ellis. He is predeceased by his brother John and his wife Catherine, his brother William, and brother-in law Niel O’Sullivan. Bob is also survived by
many devoted nieces and nephews.
Besides his love of politics, Bob enjoyed spending his summers by the ocean at Long Beach Island.
