What a tremendous loss to his family, friends, and his community. Paul was a gentle kind soul. Could not find a more devoted husband, father, grandfather or friend. They don’t make them anymore like Paul. A gentleman who was a true MENCH. A very very sad day
Mayor Hoelscher, thank you for all your years of service to the community. You have absolutely been an inspiration and figurehead for many, and for many more, a father figure too. I can’t begin to express my sadness and what a loss it is. You’ve always been very kind, considerate and a true gentleman. Yesterday I’ve lost a true friend and mentor. Rest in peace Mayor Hoelscher – you deserve every piece of heaven n good coffee… and thank you for your last call of duty to the very end.

Paul was a scion of the Northern Valley. Not just the Mayor forever of Harrington Park, he was a gentleman of high honor. He was a great community leader and a humble friend to all. I had the great pleasure to work with him on many community issues. All of us in NORTHVALE are also indebted to his great service over a long life. We will miss him.
My most sincere condolences to the Hoelscher family. Paul was a kind, cheerful man who always has a joke and smile. My favorite memory with Paul will always be when we shared our favorite Wendy’s chili together and “cheers!”with our cups! Regardless of the circumstance, we managed to have fun and make good memories! It was my greatest pleasure to be his nurse and care for him! May he forever Rest in Eternal Peace at the hands of the almighty father.
Love,
Nurse Val ❤️
