Robert Palmay, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at his residence in Old Tappan on January 24, 2025.
Robert was a loving husband to his wife Jean-Marie of 67 years. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Helen, his twin sister Eileen and his son Richard. Robert was a dedicated father to Toni(Alan) and John(Amanda) and father in-law to Noreen. He was a beloved grandfather to Robert, Keara, Danielle, Alyssa, Corey, Nicholas and Emilee whom he was so proud of.
Robert proudly served the United States Army in the Korean War as a part of the 40th infantry division. He then worked as a skilled lithographer for the National Law Press in New York City where he made an honest living for his family. Robert loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family, enjoyed storytelling, loved traveling & cruises, loved cutting the grass, was a lifelong hockey fan and was a Jeopardy enthusiast. We will carry his memory with us forever. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours are Monday, January 27, 2025 from 3-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory to the Old Tappan Free Public Library, 56 Russell Avenue, Old Tappan, NJ 07675, would be greatly appreciated.
