Elizabeth Viola

Elizabeth “Betty” Viola (nee Grater), 96, passed away peacefully on December
31, 2012. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Angelo (Jim) Viola in 1993
and her sisters, Francis Lubben, Florence Larsen, Ruth Berthe, and Mary Finke;
and brothers William Grater and Edward Grater. Survived by her loving niece and
caregiver Barbara Hofmeister (husband Harold), sister-in-law Gloria Grater, as
well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and numerous
godchildren. Before moving to Kingston, NY 7 years ago, she resided in Fairview, NJ for 54 years. Betty was employed by Scholastic Magazines in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. She started working there in 1959, retiring as a Supervisor in 1988.

Frank J. Arlene C. Nelsen

Arlene C. Nelsen (nee Sterchele), 73, of Hasbrouck Heights, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012.  Beloved wife of Warren B. Nelsen.  Loving mother of Scott Quitadamo and his wife Amber of Marietta, GA, Jeffrey Quitadamo and his wife Francesca of Wantage, NJ, and Karen Nelsen-Lockerage and her husband Anthony of Ridgefield Park.  Adored grandmother of Nicoletta, Joseph, and twins Audrey and Bradley.  Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her dogs Oliver and Gabriella.  Arlene was a 911 Dispatcher for the Lodi Police Dept.  She was also a certified EMT and was a hairdresser in Ridgefield Park for many years.  Besides family, she loved spending summers at the Jersey shore, playing Bingo with friends and trips to Atlantic City.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 19, 2013 at 1 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.  Family will receive friends from 12 – 2 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Englewood Hospital or the American Diabetes Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Natalie A. Kilmurray (nee LaRucci), 88, of Norwood, NJ, formerly of New Milford, NJ  and Teaneck, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012.  Beloved wife of the late Eugene.  Devoted mother of Mark and his wife Angela of Cape Cod, Stephen and his wife Kenetha of Hawthorne, NJ, and Brian and his wife Kathryn of Park Ridge, NJ.  Dearest sister of Mae Hessler of Norwood, Margaret Keely of Norwood, and the late Constance Ford.  Adored grandmother of Jessica, Meg, Steven, Kole, Kasey, and the late Laurel Rose. Cherished great-grandmother of Bella.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kilmurray was a secretary for National Community Bank and Alcoa. She belonged to the Norwood Senior Center and was past-president of the Alcoa Ladies Bowling League. Thomas P. Farrell, Sr.

Thomas P. Farrell, Sr., 77, formerly of Nanuet, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012.  Beloved husband of Marie (nee LaCavalla).  Loving father and father-in-law of Thomas, Jr. and Heather of Northvale, NJ, Michael and Barbara of West Nyack, and Joseph and Janice of Scotch Plains, NJ.  Adored grandfather of Hilary, Connor, Teresa, Emily, and Maura.  Dear brother of Helen Maloney of FL, Eileen Lynch of NC, and the late Mary McCauley and Patricia Rhuda.   Mr. Farrell was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. Agnes G. Albanese

Agnes G. Albanese (nee Buonocore), 84, a lifelong resident of Northvale, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.  Beloved wife of 62 years to Charles L. Albanese.  Adored mother of Diane Duncan and her husband
Mitchell of Rockwood, ME, Michele Albanese of Northvale, and Lenny Albanese and
his wife Grayce of Northvale.  Cherished grandmother of Leo Albanese and his fiancé Meaghan Kolpack of Newtown, PA and Charles Albanese of Northvale.  Dearest
sister of James Buonocore and his wife Sue of New Kingston, NY.  Also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends that meant the world to her.

Mrs. Albanese was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Agnes Buonocore, her sister Ethel Buonocore, and her brothers, Frank Jr., George, and Robert Buonocore.

She was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church, and in her youth she was a member of the Northvale Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was  a telephone operator for the phone company.  Agnes enjoyed many activities, including bowling, tennis, golf, ice skating, trips to Atlantic City, eating out, shopping, Bingo, and Friday night card games with friends.  She will be dearly missed.

Anne McCart Healy

Anne McCart Healy, of Sparkill, formerly of The Bronx, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.  Beloved wife of James J. Healy, Sr.  Cherished mother of Margaret Van Huben and her husband Gary of Poughkeepsie, James J. Healy, Jr. and his wife Denise of Orangeburg, and Laurie Wiese and her husband Brian of Hohokus, NJ.  Adored Mema of Anne, Christopher, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Lanie.  Predeceased by her grandson, Michael, her sister, Alice Colucci, and brother, William McCart, Jr.

Anne was an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan.  She also administered Eucharist to the sick at Nyack Hospital.
