Joseph Anthony Wagner

Joseph Anthony Wagner, 24, of River Vale, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014. Beloved son of Robert and Denise Wagner of River Vale.  Cherished brother of Eric and Olivia.  Adored grandson of Joseph and the late Flora Albanese of Northvale and Joseph and the late Pauline Wagner of Closter.  He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He will be missed by his beloved dog, Marley.

Joseph was an athlete who loved all sports and was an avid fan of the Giants and Yankees. He also enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.

Charles Amorose

Charles Amorose 76, of Norwood, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014. Beloved husband of Marianne (nee Faraldo).  Loving father of Gina McKenzie and husband Jeff of Waldwick and Charles and wife Violet of Bridgewater.  Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Kira and Jacquelyne.  Dear brother of Josephine Gelard and husband George of SC.

Charles was a US Navy veteran. He was a self-employed electrical engineer.

Vincent R. DeBonis

Vincent R. DeBonis, 71, of Sparkill, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Beloved husband of Julie (nee Figueroa).  Loving father of Richard DeBonis and wife Felicia of Scotch Plains, NJ, Harry Cintron of Pearl River and Brian DeBonis and wife Melissa of Tappan.  Adored grandfather of Demi, Nico, Dean, Darby, JC, Emily and Brendan.  He was predeceased by his dear parents, Vincent and Anne.

Mr. DeBonis was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam. He worked for Verizon in NYC, Pearl River and White Plains before retiring after over 30 years.

Vincent was a devoted family man who cherished his time spent with his grandchildren. He was also a true “motorhead” and enjoyed his cars and motorcycle.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, Piermont with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ.

Margaret Clark

Margaret Clark (nee Gesswin), 87, of Northvale passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Richard O. Clark.  Loving mother of Margaret Dolen and husband Jim, Richard Clark and wife Denise, Melissa Stein and husband Carl, Lisa Kline and Alisan Pirnat and husband Ray.  Adored grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of one.

Peggy served the borough of Northvale for many years.  She was the Welfare Director as well as becoming the town’s first councilwoman.  She also volunteered at the gift shop at Pascack Valley Hospital.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale.

Thomas R. Gillon

Thomas R. Gillon, 72, of Northvale, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Beloved husband of Joyce Gillon (nee LaSala).  Loving father of Christopher Gillon and his wife Betsy of Norwood.  Adored grandfather of Thomas, Venera, Sophia and Hunter.  Dearest brother of Roger his wife Jeanne of Beachwood, NJ and brother-in-law of Salvatore LaSala and wife Barbara of Thousand Oaks, CA and Anthony and wife Patricia of Waretown, NJ.

Tom was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam. He retired from PSE&G after 38 years of service. Tom was a member of the Northvale American Legion Post 366.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale. A Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 PM.

Muriel Gawlik

Muriel Gawlik (nee Sassa), 87, a longtime resident of Bergenfield, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John Gawlik. Loving mother of Thomas and his wife Diane of Closter.  Adored grandmother of Kelly, Kristen and Keri.

Muriel retired from Mutual of NY after many years of service as an office manager. She was an active supporter of SMA Fathers and it’s ministries of Tenafly.

Craig Rosen

Craig Rosen, 30, of Northvale, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014. He was the beloved son of Carmen Large and the late Barry Rosen of Northvale.  Cherished twin brother of Crystal Rosen of Lodi.  Devoted father of Jayden and Robert James, who were his world.  Adored nephew of Mercedes and Steven Minch of Emerson.  Dearest cousin of Nicole Large. Adored fiancée of Brittany Mescall.  He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Craig was a cook for Aviator Sports in Brooklyn, NY. A devoted father, Craig was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.  He will be dearly missed.

Norma R. Paillex(nee Kohler), 77, of Northvale, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014. John “Jack” Maloney

John “Jack” Maloney, 79, of Tappan, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Smith).  Loving father of Anne Bondulich and husband John of Tappan and John Maloney and wife Kathy of Orangeburg.  Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Kellyanne, John Patrick, Jack, Ryan and Allison.  Dearest brother of Michael Maloney of Pearl River. He was also adored by his many nieces and nephews.

Jack was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a Detective for the New York City Police Department for 20 years before retiring.  He later became a security manager for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Piermont.

Jack loved fine art and travel, especially to Paris. His favorite place was Naples, Florida where he spent many wonderful years with his family watching the sunset.

Sinead Helen Murphy

Sinead Helen Murphy, age 11, of Orangeburg, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Cherished daughter of Stephen and Susan Murphy.  Adored sister of Fiona, Siobhan and Colleen.  Loving granddaughter of Maurice and Helen Murphy and Bridie and the late Tom Davis. Beloved niece of many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends both in the United States, Ireland and England.  She will also be dearly missed by all the wonderful nurses, doctors and medical staff that have been there for her in times of need.
