Leonard J. Florio, 62, of Pearl River, NY, formerly of Tamarac, FL and the Bronx, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Cherished son of the late Joseph and Marie Florio. Loving brother of James Florio and his wife Marietta of Pearl River, NY and Dean Florio and his wife Lucille of Eastchester, NY. Cherished uncle of James, Michelle, Nicolette, Michael and Juliana.

Leonard was a public insurance adjuster for many years. Presently he worked in estate sales and also worked for Little Cakes in Park Ridge, NJ.

William G. “Woody” Crowl, 75, of Northvale, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Beloved husband of Carole (nee Koster). Devoted father of Wendy Ewing and husband John of Elgin, IL and Teri DiStefano and husband Rocco of Paramus. Adored grandfather of Sofia, Lea, Luca, Nicholas, Alexander and Zachary. Dearest brother Thomas of Florida and the late Robert. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Lois of Maywood.

Woody was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a past commander of the Norwood American Legion Post 272. He was a skilled carpenter for many years before retirement.

Marie J. McMahon, 87, of Northvale, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was born in New York City and was predeceased by her parents Rebecca and Joseph McMahon and a brother Joseph J. McMahon. She was a devoted cousin to Maureen and Frank D’Ercole and their children, Colleen, Brian and Kristen and the D’Ercole grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlin, Ryan, Frankie, Victoria and Connor. She was also devoted to the Morelli and Rosato family, their children and grandchildren.

Marie moved to Northvale in 1973 and was active in many community programs. She was employed as a supervisor at International Flavors and Fragrances in New York City until she retired in 1994. Marie was known to her family as Sis. Her family never had to worry about security at their homes because Sis was always on patrol checking everyone’s house.

Casper T. “Bud” Will, of Tappan, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. Born October 11th 1929 in Yonkers, NY. Retired executive of CIGNA Special Risk Facilities Inc. Attended St. Denis parochial school, Manhattan Prep, and New York University.He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (née Manix). He is survived by four daughters, Mary Jane Fick (Bob), Joanne Ciriello (Peter), Patricia Boyer (Steve), and Denise Pawlowski (Alex). He is succeeded by his eight grandchildren, Colleen, Kaitlin, Thomas, Kerri Anne, Matthew, Meghan, Jack and Daniel. Bud was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was active in community affairs serving as adjutant and financial officer of the John M. Perry Post American Legion and as president of Palisades Swim Club. He was also an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, serving in the capacity of lector, president of the men’s club, member of the pastoral parish counsel under Fr. Dale and Fr. Theodore Michael Saydah “Ted,” 93, of Closter, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Beloved husband of Joyce (née Ontra). Devoted family man and cherished father of Gerard and wife Judy of Middletown, JoAnne Therese of Norwood, Jenifer Saydah and fiancé Kevin McGovern of Norwood, and Jill Marie Ross and husband George of Northvale. Adored grandfather of Erica Joyce DiMarzo and husband Rob, Michelle Saydah, Mary Gabrielle Saydah, Theo Saydah, and James Saydah. Educated at Trinity College and School of Visual Arts, he went on to a career as an Art Director in NYC before working for The Record newspaper as a manager where he retired from. Ted was very involved in local and county politics and was a Bergen County Committeeman for several years. He was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Closter, was a lector, and along with his wife Joyce, taught CCD for many years. He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, NY Mets, NY Giants, and NJ Devils.
