Anna May Sprague, 88, formerly of West Creek, NJ and Keeseville, NY, passed from this world on August 8, 2021 at Bergen County Health Care Center, surrounded by the most caring and loving staff. Anna May was born May 2, 1933, the daughter of Morris Hanley Wilson and Marion Estelle (Caterall) Wilson at her parent’s home in Riverside, NJ. Anna May enjoyed socializing. She possessed a kind child-like heart, a pretty singing voice, and the most gorgeous hands. She often told her story of being offered a hand-modeling job in NYC, but her father thought her too young to embrace the opportunity. The story never got old, and it would be a joy to hear it once again.
Anna may was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Marion (Wilson) Pray and her husband Clifford; a brother, Maurice “Bud” Wilson and his wife Pauline, and a brother Charles Wilson. She is survived by her only daughter, Patricia Ann and her son-in-law, David Mendofik, Jr., three nephews, two nieces, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private.

I will miss you Aunt Anna May. I always appreciated your candor and your sense of humor. I always appreciated that you were honest and upfront with me when I needed it most. I will miss you.
I’m so happy she was there for you when you needed her. Beautiful memory, Shane.
May you Rest In Peace. I remember the times you picked up Mom and me at the Bus Station and would bring us to Long Beach island in your two toned Nash Metropolitan. Coolest car on the Island and my Aunt owned it. No back seat but somehow we managed. Picnics in the Pine Barrens. And, the awesome Maltese surfer cross you got me in Surf City. Great times shared then. And, Home Made Christmas cards. Thank you.
Her homemade cards were the best! The knowing that she took the time to think about the person she was sending a card or note to. It made one realize she was truly thinking about them – making it so much more loving and personal. Great memories, Thomas.
Dear Patti,
Your Mom was a wonderful person. She was very kind and she loved making beautiful cards and gardening. Your Mom was my dear friend for 33 years. I will miss her smile and laugh. Most of all our talks about how happy she was, and her love for you.
Love,
Phyllis
I already responded once, Phyllis, but it’s not showing up, so you may get two. I want to thank you for all you’ve done throughout the years for my Mom and it was so nice speaking with you. Your words are very kind. I’m happy you have good memories with Mom.
It was so nice speaking with you yesterday, Phyllis. Your words are so very kind, and I appreciate all the times you were there to help my Mom, and I know she does, as well. You are a great friend and such a kind spirit. Thank you.
