Dr. Robert Cohen, 83, of Englewood, NJ, passed away on Sunday June 11th, 2023.He was the beloved husband of Barbara Weiss Cohen. Loving father of Stephanie Cohen Walsh and Karen Cohen. Proud grandfather of Sydney, Chloe, Max and Ariel.
Dr. Cohen was a Doctor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hackensack University Medical Center for over 40 years, beloved by his patients and highly respected by his peers. In his distinguished career, he delivered over 4000 babies in Bergen County, NJ.
A graveside service will be held at Cedar Park / Beth El Cemetery, Paramus, NJ on Thurs, June15, 2023 at 11:30AM.

I know Bob since we were 16. We went to the same medical school and did our residency at Brookdale Hospital- he was my senior resident. Our children grew up together(my son used to abuse Stephanie-sorry). Bob introduced me to the practice I joined in Hackensack. We both spent many many years on the staff as real colleagues. My condolences to Barbara, Stephanie,Peter , Karen and all his grandchildren. We will miss our friend dearly- a chapter in all our lives has been closed. We really loved Robert and will always have a great love for him and his family. Rest easy my friend
Stephanie, Peter, Chloe and Sydney I am so sorry for your loss. I regarded Bob as both a peer and a teacher. His depth of experience was a resource for me many times. He was always generous with his advice snd his sensible perspective.

I worked with Bob for over 30 years. He was such an amazing, caring physician. He will always be remembered for his willingness to teach, to share his knowledge, to offer encouragement to the staff. He was a physician a new nurse could work with because of his patience. An incredible mentor, colleague & friend that I was privileged to work with; rest in peace, my friend, rest in peace.

Robert S. Cohen was my boss for 30yrs, he was funny great teacher incredible surgeon! His patients all loved him he told it like it was (which is what I loved about him) I don’t know if his patients actually realized how lucky they were, he saved & cared so much..with delivery or gyn surgery you got a dedicated comforting physician! I was always proud to brag about him! Peace be with Robert S. !!!
