Danielle was an accomplished chef, creating gustatory specialties for her family on an almost daily basis, and on holidays, treating her extended family members to her five-star meals, prompting one of her aunts to encourage her to become her personal executive chef.

Her most cherished traditions included vacations to the beach with family to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and regular excursions to Disney World where she and her sisters were frequent visitors and personal friends of Mickey and Minnie.

  1. Dear Gabbi and Dan,
Our hearts are broken for you. May you find a tidbit of solace knowing that your friends are keeping you and all of the family close in our thoughts and prayers.
    With love,
    Leslie & Andrew

  2. I have so many great memories of Dani; the fishing trips we took down the shore on Uncle Mike’s boat, that first family trip to Disney that started it all, as well as all the holidays and celebrations of the milestones in her life. I was always so proud to be called her Auntie Carol. Thank you Dan and Gabriele for letting me be a part of it all, for making me feel like family and for sharing Danielle with me. Prayers for you healing.

  3. To the Bibb family,
Words cannot express the joy, light, and laughter that your Dani brought into my life. My fondest memories of her are full of us laughing hysterically at each other, at the pun-filled jokes we made, at the inappropriate outfits we thrifted before a night out, and at the tall tales we crafted to capture everything we saw around us. She burned too bright to be gone so soon.

  4. I can’t think about Dani without thinking of her beautiful smile. She had a way of making every moment more vibrant. I’m so grateful to have known her at UNCW and carry the memory of her friendship close to my heart.

  5. As a patient at Westwood Ophthalmology, I just learned of Danielle’s passing. I am sorry to hear this shocking news and I want everyone who loved Danielle to know how much she put me at ease before my surgery, sharing her experience when she had hers. I will never forget her taking time to call me to see how I was and to answer my questions, giving me peace of mind. She also sat with me for a long time in her office getting me ready for my second upcoming surgery. Danielle and I only had a few interactions but she understood that I was nervous so her patience and reassurance in those moments were an important part of my experience and positive outcomes of my recovery, and I am forever grateful. Peace to her loved ones.
