  1. My first cousin Norme was 10 years older than I. She used to babysit me when I was a toddler and beyond She taught me many things behind my mother’s back, like the joy of eating peanut butter with a spoon directly from the jar. The only time we ever had a real disagreement was after she got engaged to Johnny and suggested I switch from calling her Normae to Aunt Normae. I was having none of it. Normae I love you. And you too, Johnny and cousins Angelo, Normae Marie and Frank. Normae, rest in peace, risinxin glory.

Normae was an absolutely amazing woman and I am so glad I got the chance to get to know her, her husband John and daughter Normae. Her and her husband Johnny felt like family to me over these last few years. I will miss her terribly. May she rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her. Love always, Trouble.

  3. I had the honor of being her weekend caregiver. Normae was a beautiful person inside and out. She loved to talk about her childhood with her siblings, The Great one and her parents. She had a smile that would melt the coldest heart. We would do her PT exercises together to encourage her to keep getting stronger. We agreed that we both needed to exercise While getting ready for the day I would play gospel music and she would hum along. Normae, I thank you for sharing your love and memories with me. I’ll cherish them forever. Love always, Leah

  4. Grandma you will be missed, you were always so cheerful and happy especially when the family all got together. Thanksgiving was always warm, joyful and you always knew I loved the apple sauce, which I would always eat way too much of. I know that you were surrounded by family and friends that love you throughout life and celebrate the amazing life you’ve led. I wish I could have been around more and you really will be truly missed by everyone.

Normae was my client at Concord for years. Her and I became the very best of friends. It was an absolute honor to share your wife, mother and grandmother every Thursday. I am so very pained to hear of her sudden passing as she was such a strong woman. She was one of a kind and such a family based individual. She very often spoke of Johnny, her kids and her grandchildren. When she got her cell phone, I gave her a few lessons on how to use it and she showed me many photos of her family. She cherished all of your large get togethers. She couldn’t believe the turn out of the last party you guys held. She loved you all so much and was very proud of the lives you have all made for yourselves. And boy did she love Johnny like she was still 18 and smitten. She told me all about how they met and painted their youth together. Normae was my second grandmother- especially after loosing mine. She would always return my “I love you” My heart is with all of you in such an incredibly difficult time. Please know that she was well cared for and loved while in Concord. I’m always here for any of you- Especially you Johnny. My heart just breaks for you all. May her memory be Eternal
