  1. My condolences to the family , may he rest in peace

  2. John supported the environment and worked hard for those critical issues all those years he was in the assembly. We met for the first time at an Assembly Committee hearing on striped bass regulations. I learned he was a diehard striped bass fisherman like me, and we became good friend despite the fact I was a democrat and he a republican. We did many charter trips together over the years until he could not go on boats anymore. He was a great angler, and I have pictures to prove it of him holding big striped bass. We called each other so he would get updates on my fishing trips. I would ask about his wife and kids, who he loved dearly. I will really miss the calls from my long-time friend.

Very saddened to learn of your dad’s passing. Fondest memories of him (and your mom) from when we were growing up. May he and your mom both rest easy, and may you all find peace and solace in the knowledge that theirs were lives incredibly well lived.
